Kjeldahl Apparatus Working Principle:

The KA-DNII kjeldahl apparatus adopts an automatic steam control generator, which, together with the liquid level regulator, can output steam steadily within tens of seconds. The apparatus is designed and manufactured by the international Kjeldahl method of nitrogen determination. The alkaline liquid flows through the distillation tube into the quantitative elimination tube so that the ammonia immobilized in the acid liquid is volatilized under alkaline conditions. 

The vapor generated can distill the sample under alkaline conditions, causing the ammonia to volatilize completely. The volatilized ammonia is condensed by a condenser and completely immobilized in boric acid, then titrated with a standard acid. At the endpoint, the nitrogen content is calculated and then multiplied by the protein conversion factor to obtain the protein content.
